About the Piece
Alcohol-based marker and fine tip pen on 11 x 14 mixed media paper. This piece touches upon what it truly means to be alive. Inspired by the passing of Karen’s close friend, she used organic shapes and vibrant colors to contrast with a black and white mechanical eye. The tunnel-like spiral symbolizes a one-way path towards death and the constant depletion of time. Below, the organs highlight how our internal organs and our bodies are fighting a race against time as well. Karen hopes that this piece can inspire you to live your life to the fullest and to take nothing for granted.

Frame it (+30)
Framing is highly recommended to extend the lifetime and quality of your fine art piece. Your print will be mat and framed to protect your piece from atmospheric pollutants such as dirt, dust, vapor, and mold. Framing will also enhance aesthetics by increasing size, color longevity, and depth.
